Property One, Inc.’s Property Management team recently came together for its annual training day, providing an opportunity to strengthen skills, review best practices, and prepare for the year ahead.
The training focused on several important aspects of professional property management, including fire prevention, property inspections, hurricane preparedness, and day-to-day operational best practices.
Fire Prevention and Property Inspections
Property One was honored to welcome Deputy Chief Nick Heinen from the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal, who shared valuable information about fire prevention, inspections, and practices that help protect properties and their occupants.
The team also completed hands-on property inspection exercises designed to reinforce attention to detail and identify potential issues. To make the exercises more interactive, the inspection course included hidden issues for team members to find and address.
Hurricane Preparedness
The training day also included Property One’s annual hurricane preparedness refresher. Regular preparation is an important part of managing commercial and multifamily properties in Louisiana, particularly when it comes to protecting properties, supporting residents and tenants, and responding effectively during severe weather.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships
Property One also welcomed several vendor partners who shared their expertise and supported the team’s training throughout the day, including Bart’s Office, Inc., BELFOR Property Restoration, ENFRA Solutions, and Hiller Fire Protection.
Strong vendor relationships are an important part of effective property management, helping Property One respond to property needs and provide reliable service to clients and occupants.
Building a Stronger Property Management Team
The training concluded with an afternoon aboard the historic Steamboat NATCHEZ along the Mississippi River. The team enjoyed live jazz, riverfront views, and time together outside the office.
