Property One Founders Sell Company to Senior Staff

Michele Casi, then Managing Director of Property Management, became Chief Executive Officer. Paul Langenwalter III, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, continued in those roles as an owner, and Matt Taylor, then Managing Director of Brokerage, became president.

Paul and Quentin Dastugue, who founded Property One in 1985, transitioned to advisory roles while continuing to focus on their philanthropic, civic, and real estate projects.

The leadership transition brought together three longtime Property One executives with extensive experience in property management, finance, operations, and commercial real estate brokerage.

At the time of the transition, Property One had more than 125 employees across three offices and multiple states and worked with 19 licensed real estate brokers. The company managed approximately 4.2 million square feet of commercial space and 4.9 million square feet of multifamily assets across more than 60 properties throughout the Gulf South.

Today, Property One continues the legacy established by its founders while providing commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, property management, and consulting services throughout the Gulf South.
