Join Property One in Preparing for Hurricane Season

Metairie, LA – With hurricane season underway, Property One, Inc. is proud to promote hurricane preparedness in the Greater New Orleans and Southwestern areas. To help spread the word and make our employees, tenants, clients and members of the community better prepared, Property One is committed to continuing to being an example to ensure all know their risks, get prepared and stay informed.

Each year, we witness the devastating impacts that hurricanes can cause. Hurricanes are not just a threat to coastal communities. High winds, heavy rainfall, tornadoes and flooding can be felt hundreds of miles inland, potentially causing loss of life and catastrophic damage to property. As past depressions and tropical storms remind us, it is not just major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher) that we need to worry about, but all hurricane-related storm systems have the ability to cause significant damage.

We are committed to ensuring the safety of the Property One family and we’re calling on you prepare with us. Securing your facility and staying tuned in are just a few steps you can take to get ready for hurricane season.

Secure Your Facility: Be sure to secure all doors, hoods, cooling towers, etc. Check for any debris and remove and/or secure accordingly. Check emergency, stairwell and exit lighting (check batteries and replace as necessary).

Stay Tuned In: Check the websites of your local National Weather Service office and local government/emergency management office. Find out what type of emergencies could occur and how you should respond. Listen to NOAA Weather Radio or other radio or TV stations for the latest storm news.
